Last year Dad gave me 2 packets of seed. Planted some outside, it didn't grow. I decided to start it inside this year. Wow, it came up in 2 days! Tiny stuff, like petunias. We'll see how they do.

Thanks for that info Mumsey, I'm going to try starting some seed inside. In the past If I plant a start, it has reseeded and those babies come up the next year, But when I've seeded some outside it didn't grow for me, either.

Potted them up into their final pots. They are about 2" tall.

That Chamomile looks great. It has tons of little flowers. I have steeped some of the green leaves for tea, it's good. How do I use the flowers? Let them dry, use them fresh? Can the leaves be dried and used later? I've never done this before.

I dry the flowers and store them for chamomile tea. I've never made tea from the leaves- didn't know you could. I've always seen the flowers as tea.

desertwoman, Apparently you can use the leaves and it's a different flavor than the flower heads. Do you let them dry on the plant or pick before they go to seed and dry them?

Mumsey, I pick them while they are in bloom. They dry quickly.
