Much of the snow is gone but not everywhere in my yard. So I tried to remove mulch over a few plants so the sun could get to the soil to thaw it out. Most of it was still frozen to the ground. Walked around the garden area and everything there was frozen too. I am hoping the thaw will take place over the next 3 weeks when our last frost date comes around. Wishing to make it so! Casting waves of thought to Mother Nature!

Hope it warms up soon for you.
We are having an unusual season here. Have not had snow on the ground at all since January 1 Had some snow in December, but it melted. We really expect to be snow covered from December through mid March.
I have planted my onions, sets and plants, and also a few seeds to see if anything would come this early. Spinach, radish, lettuce.....

Frost is all but gone here, the yard is a mushy mess. Rain started a couple hours ago to add to the mess. But it's a good mess. Still haven't been out to check the garlic. Maybe when it dries out in a few days.

That's one way of describing it, Alan Once the soil starts to thaw then mud season is next. That would be like having your freezer bags all torn up and with holes and there is a soupy, sloppy mess at the bottom of the freezer. \

:(
(edit) Well, sure it will post my gripe............................
(edit) Try again: Three days of rain and this morning clear and cold, 20 degrees. Nothing growing but ice. Pond is frozen over. White caps on the mountains renewed. At least the sun is shining.

I don't know if this might be happening to you but in the last couple of days I have been occasionally noticing a delay in the posting. I click on create post and nothing seems to happen but in about 30 seconds , the post appears if I do nothing.

I have had a couple delays but they did eventually come up. What IS happening to me is logging in does not stay put even though I check the keep me logged in box. Had to log in last night and again just now.

If you have the "remember me" box checked then it is probably how your computer is set up.
There are settings that can delete cookies upon shutting down the computer or when you close a website. The only time my cookies get deleted is monthly when my Norton Anti Virus runs a scan and it deletes all of my temporary files as well as cookies. After that runs I have to login in here again but then I will not login for another month.
When you check "remember me" a cookie is created so that they computer logs you in automatically. If this cookie is deleted then you will need to login in again.
Check to see how your computer deletes cookies and I'll bet that you can correct this problem.

If I want to clear cookies I do it myself, because I don't have to run an anti virus program. Macs don't get virus'
The only time I've had to re-log in is when I have chosen to log out (which is rare)
