markhenry, tom 🕊 is right, what do you want to accomplish? I have 1/4 acre and consider it to be plenty for us, plus some to sell. Would you do this as a job? Or just to sustain your family? Also depends how much of your ground you want to dedicate to gardens. I could do twice what I do, but I do like some yard for the dog. And without grass to mow, I would be short of mulch.
