besides all the Robins that are spending lots of time in our yard, spring has started the spring rains. It rained all night and all I can think of is getting out to the garden to see how it's going. Nothing in the greenhouse yet but that's ok, I'm down with a bad cough right now. BRING ON THE RAIN.......

The robins showed up here two days ago. It has been nice weather. Yes, wish it would rain.
Bees have been working the willow bloom.
Daffodils and grape hyacinths are blooming.

Had my first tulip open today. It's been in the mid to upper 60's. Might hit 70 Sunday or monday.

grape hyacinths are blooming . . . . . . . .
I have hundreds of these weeds. Maybe thousands. I dig them us every year and don't seem to be making any progress. Weeds. Weeds. Weeds.

I saw a honey bee today!!! And I watered the gardens for the first time.
It's too early to set up the drip irrigation. We can have deep freezes in April and even though this weekend is 10 degrees above normal at around 70 I won't chance it. It could all "snap" at any time. So hand watering will be what I do for the next month. Drip system will be turned on in early May.
Grape hyacinths, daffodils are blooming and tulips are budding.

If there were Robins here they'd be wearing board shorts, sporting bushy blonde hair and hitting the 4-6' south swell we're getting.

My crocuses are going to croak if this cold weather keeps up! It might be calendar spring but nobody told the skies about it...at least here...

The greenhouse is popping and the tomatoes are getting their 1st true leaves. I'd post pictures but can't figure it out yet.

The easiest way to post pictures is to open a free Photobucket account and upload your pictures there. Then you can copy the img link and paste it into your posting here.
