You mentioned it in another post (this is the soil mix for square foot gardening in case someone wonders) that you would post it. Do you use the new mix or the old mix? I never liked the new mix that was a bag of this and a bag of that. Do you have the recipe for the old mix because I don't know where my old book is?

yes have copy of old mix recipe : 1 bale of peat moss: 6 cu ft. 1 large bag of course vermiculite 4 cu ft 10 pails (2.5 gallon size) of sharp sand/play sand 3 cu ft 2 pails wood ash 10 pails (2.5 gallon size) of compost 3 cu. ft. *1 coffee can of lime 2.5 lbs 1 coffee can organic fertilizers total volume of mixture 16 cu. ft
as for old book I have 6 copies. 2 hard back 4 paper back i got them all for free

We're getting ready to fill our new raised beds and I'm trying to figure out the best/most foolproof way to get vermiculite, peat moss, and compost in there. The beds will be 4x8 and this is our first time (hopefully) doing this right. I see we need coarse vermiculite. How else do we make sure we get everything how it needs to be?
