It's raining! It's pouring! First rain since a couple days before Father's Day. It's a small storm cell, but looks like more following it. And I watered the garden this morning, wasn't going to rely on the weather people again.

And I watered the garden this morning Like with washing your car, or a picnic, sometimes that's all it takes.

Wheelgarden, I made the most of it. Stopped raining. I went out and planted beans in the vacated garlic bed. I soaked the area good this morning, the rain helped. Nice and soft. Done. Now there's a severe storm warning for us.

Yep, wash the car, that is all it takes to make it rain. wind first to stir up some dust so the rain that comes is nice muddy rain.

SIX INCHES of rain this afternoon! Wow! Looked out the window and I think more is on the way. The rain gauge is overflowing and I should empty it before the next round. We needed it, can't wait to see my corn in a few days.

Yikes, martywny ! I occasionally get drenches like that, usually asscociated with a tropical system, as I see you're experiencing.

I wasn't sure if we were going to get any of that storm, being about 300 miles direct line from the coast. We're over 8" as of right now. Fortunately, it seems to be soaking right in. The 69 degree temp feels good compared to those mid to upper 90's we had this past week.

I would have gladly taken an inch or so from your burden, but it slid just to the east on its way up. Pepperhead wasn't in a sharing mood.

I thought I was getting more rain today, which is why I didn't do some of the things out there today, but it just got cloudy, then cleared up entirely around 5:30 pm. I'll get out there again tomorrow.

Rain to the north of us. Rain to the south of us. We got nothing.
And, we didn’t get that baseball sized hail that takes out car windshields. Gotta be happy about that.

We never got the predicted storms either. That's ok, we were hit with them the night before.

85 degrees, soft sunshine, and a beautiful breeze. If your work project can be done in the shade, it’s a great day to work outside.

100°F, 8% humidity, with a 30mph south wind. It was like working in a blast furnace today. We haven't had a drop of rain since early May, which isn't unusual, but if any of you would like to share it wouldn't be refused. My June water bill was $180.

1.75" rain in an hour last night. I went out in my pj's to check! No watering today. Wheelgarden, Yikes! That's some serious change. Ours is high if it gets to $40/month
