I've been planting many dozens of winter-sown parsley seedlings and have been kept in close company by robins waiting for hand-outs. I keep a grub cup with me as I dig and this one particular robin (pretty sure it was the same one) was particularly fearless, coming within a foot or so, eagerly gobbling up tossed-over grubs of which there were very many. He/She would leave and come back and one time I heard this loud robin-voiced chirping going on and looked up to find him/her right there, getting my attention for more treats. It was a fun interaction the entire time while planting. Would have gotten a pic but my hands were too dirty.
