I have a shingle roof, the water off of my is possibly reaching my tomato plants. Will the tomatoes be safe to eat?

Hello patron! Welcome, looks like you have just joined us, it's a great place to be. There is a section for new members to introduce themselves and to get noticed quicker! Check it out. It's also helpful to include your general location so others in the same area can be of more help. As for your question, you might find some answers in this link, though I'm sure there are members here who use run off in rain barrels. Depends what type of roof you have. www.sightline.org/2015/01/07/a-green-light-for-using-rain-barrel-water-on-garden-edibles/

Simple answer, yes. As the article mumsey posted indicates water flowing off roofs from rain fall is okay to use in the garden.
