Still a houseplant...to be planted outdoors when done blooming... Never had one with all buds in full bloom at the same time... This one has seven... The aroma is divine...

Five years later...
Was just at the store picking up potting soil...while there, 'just happened' to go by the Madonna Lilies display... Found one pot that had two plants in it instead of just the one... That one now lives at my house...
I always used to get a Madonna Lily for Mom at Easter... Have a bunch of them that come up outside every year...

I absolutely ADORE Easter lilies & used to buy one or two every year, but since they're so very toxic to cats, I finally gave up the practice because it was just too difficult keeping the kitties away from them without literally hiding them, which sort of defeats the purpose - lol!

ahntjudy, breezygardener, If you love Easter Lilies, you should add a Casa Blanca lily to your garden. Unless you already have one.

I don’t recall deer bothering mine.
But, now that I think about this, I gave a Casa Blanca to my brother and sister in law, in memory of her mother. They never saw a bloom until they surrounded the plant with a fence. They have a lot of deer traffic moving through their in town property.
guess I’m just lucky...maybe the smorgasbord offerings are so good, the lilies get no interest.
