Mine are stored low to the floor and in cardboard boxes, in the fruit/veggie room. And onions keep best for me in spare fridge drawers, at low temp setting. Rarely do I have any sprout. Still have a bunch left from last year!

I learned about when to winter prune Chamisa bushes, which are a great drought tolerant plant. They never need watering. I had always thought it could be anytime during the winter, but have just learned it needs to be done late winter/early spring. So now I am (im)patiently waiting.
