I know a lot of produce is grown in California but all it takes is for many of us to grow our own vegetables, fruits and herbs in our own gardens. We just avoid the grocery store tomatoes, despite how nice they look, they just don't compare to homegrown. As I agree with James, if an avocado isn't your most favorite thing to eat, you can definitely work around it and have a lot of others things that are just as good.

Avocado prices are up, so I read. This is supposed to be because avocados are in short supply. My suspicion, though, is that, thanks to Trump's tariff threat, avocado middlemen found that they could get away with jacking prices up and are on a roll and are doing more of it.

The threat worked. The Mexicans are cooperating. Prices probably up because more demand for avocados to make those summer dips.
