I have two African Violets growing under flourescent lights. They look healthy and they bloom about twice a year. Is twice a year the normal frequency for African Violets to bloom?

My African Violet grows next to a north facing window at the kitchen sink (likes the humidity) and it blooms twice a year. This plant is over 25 years old!

I have 3 in a north facing window, - they bloom all the time. I have - in a regular desk lamp - this bulb: Feit Electric 200W equivalency, 6500 k Spiral cfl. It is sup'd to simulate daylight.
