Oh no! That's just not OK. I think I might have suspected two legged creatures too!
I've never heard of apples being an every other year crop. Our orchard had at least 100 apple trees and they all produced every year. And a peach tree has the ability to produce every year as well. Our problem , here, that determines whether we get peaches or not is the timing of the spring blooms and late frosts. A warm early spring will bring early blossoms and then a late killing frost= no crop for the year.

I feel for you. My sworn enemy is the resident raccoon. They were such beautiful peaches, too. This will just make me smarter.
