turmeric is widely used these days as an anti-inflammatory. I make a broth with the fresh root and drink daily.

Tumeric is in one of the supplements I have been taking for years, wth no ill effects. My c-reactive protein, which is measured in a blood test for inflammation, is in the excellent range.

I guess I will just stick a finger in at first and just try it, see how that affects me. I got it in the organic spice rack at Whole Foods. Does it go with any food at all?

It has very little taste to me. It's very mild. You can put it in any dish that you don't mind turning yellow. It will turn your food bright yellow. Many Indian recipes contain tumeric.
