It's so odd to see New Mexico in the blue. Amazing.
Probably not our new weather here. Just an anomaly this year.

Since it is a map of the percent of average, it doesn't mean that New Mexico received as much rainfall as Illinois. 200% of normal for you may well be less than our average rainfall.

Oh yes, I understand that. I am just amazed that New Mexico is in company with so many states that are having above normal rainfall- even if ours is only 2 or 3 inches total!! It's a lot for us!!

We had three weeks of rain in May, but sunny June. Supposed to hit 90 this week.

Yes, 200% above average in NM may be less than we get in one summer thunderstorm. Hard to imagine.

I know, it's astonishing. I listen to all of you, east of me, with tales of inches of rain in one storm ( I think someone once mentioned 12 or more inches over several days) and marvel at that amount that we would only hope for in a whole year.
But we don't have humidity with heat that drives us indoors.

We were down in May for rain...like 1.05" according to weatherman and now in June we have already had 5.01" and we have made up some of the lack of May's normal total but still are down 3" below normal. Today tho should be dry after 2 days of soaking rains.

it is bright and sunny today, and I took the day off work! I slept late, then stayed in bed whilst awake and didn't get to coffee till 10am....
I don't know what to do with myself, lol!
