Did you direct seed it DW? I have been able to germinate the seed, but transplants die. Any secrets to starting?

No, I didn't seed it. I transplanted from another spot. I just make sure I get a fair amount of soil around each clump and keep the new plantings moist for a couple of weeks while it takes. Also, when I dig them up, I make sure I put them into the ground immediately. I'd say I have about 80% "take". The nurseries around here also have starts and those seem to take a little more easily.

I don't suppose you ever have to shovel that sidewalk do you? I was just thinking it would be nice to have what you have there but I am thinking it might get destroyed with shoveling or snowplowing.

Your yard is beautiful! Even the path is beautiful!

I do shovel that path! I just don't go all the way down to the stones. What is left melts quickly. If it's just an inch or so, I sweep.
When we moved in just about 6 years ago,the stone work was there with the trees, but that's it. I planted everything else. Most of it was dug up from my gardens at the old house.
