I have one! Two years ago it bloomed for the first time, a male bloom....
www.bing.com/images/search?q=sago+palm+bloom's&qpvt=sago+palm+blooms&qpvt=sago+palm+blooms&FORM=IGRE
Last year it had 2 male blooms....and I think you can tell from the images which are male & female! ;)
This year it looks like it has split into 2 plants, at least in the center and one side had 2 female blooms and the other side has one female bloom.
What the heck...do these things normally do this? I thought if you had a male plant, it was always male...had no idea that it might switch sexes in mid stream!

Those are really interesting and beautiful blooms.
I don't know the names for them- someone will probably chime in with those- but plants can have both male and female reproductive parts and can change from male to female!

I don't know the names of the blooms, I just know that the Sago is very expensive for a large palm. Just a few months ago, a client of mine had several around her yard and found that her gardener was taking off the new small side shoots and taking them. Probably to pot and resell. She fired him. I bought one last year, a one gallon size was $35. The are slow growing but the large ones can be worth a $1,000 plus.

This one was about 6" tall when I bought it around 10 yrs. ago for 1/2 price at Lowes....$6.95! I planted it in the middle of my 47' triangle bed....the whole bed keeps sinking since DH had a hole there once where he burned stumps when we were still clearing out a bunch. Year before last, I piled about 12" of horse manure in there and then covered that with about 12" of pine straw! It is now close to 5' tall and probably wider since it has branched.
My friend in Fl. said it was common for them to both branch & change sexes...but she said she had only seen the change the other way, from female to male. Now I get to wait and see if I get any seeds.
