a falling tree creates energy waves no matter where it falls or who is around. But those waves only become "sound" when they hit the ear. If no one heard it, there was no sound. But the waves of energy were produced, as per usual.

Not a disaster exactly but I had a "garden surprise" yesterday.
I only have limited space under my growing lights so I only grow onions, toms and peps from seed. We have lots of local greenhouses with cheap starts so I always buy my cabbage and cauliflower seedlings locally. Well I bought a pack of cabbage seedlings and a pack of 5 cauliflower plants. It was a 6 pack with one dead plant so I got it cheaper and I was happy because I really didn't need 6 cauliflower heads for 2 people anyway.
Well yesterday I was in the garden watering and I thought that something looked pretty "leafy" under the row cover so I pulled it back and discovered that 2 of my 5 cauliflower plants turned out to be cabbages!
I already had 6 cabbage plants so I should have LOTS of cabbage. Good thing that we like coleslaw and I make sauerkraut every year.

Update. I have a lot more surviving than it seemed in the beginning. I found plants with roots exposed. So I put them into new soil and fed them with fish emulsion. There are approx 10 plants altogether of tomatoes and 7 or 8 peppers. I am just gonna plant them all and see what comes of it. No need to shop at a nursery for others. This will be fun!.

As with any transplant there is a period of adjustment anyway.....if I find my seaweed extract it should help as well

Update....I decided to get a couple extra pepper plants and a cherry tomato at the nursery. The peppers are slow in coming back after transplanting....most are doing ok...one replaced. The tomatoes are doing better now but I m not really sure if I have a cherry sized one so I got a Sun Gold just in case one of the salvaged plants are not. I like regular tomatoes better but having 1 or 2 cherry plants is good for me.

I started Sungold this year...first time for me. I have 6 and am not going to use all of them...probably 2 or 3 will get planted.

Sun golds are so prolific I can barely keep up with one! I bring bowlfuls as a gift when invited to dinner and neighbors get 'em too.

Sun golds are so prolific I can barely keep up with one! I had looked for a Sungold start last year, but couldn't find one. So, I purchased seed this year (Johnny's, I think) and started 6. Juliets will still be my main grape type crop, but I did want to try the Sungolds.

Yes back in March Waldo the Boxer pup tipped over my seed starting tray with young peppers and maters everywhere. Fortunately I had already potted most of the maters and three types of peppers. For the rest of the peppers it was plant the best looking seedlings and figure out what latter. Lifes like that.

I tried and liked the Juliets but they were huge! They were almost as big as the paste tomatoes. I like cherries to pop in ur mouth but I couldn't do with these. Now I am wondering if the paste ones were too little.
