I got quite a bit done today, including trimming my curry tree way back, and cleaning up the fabric pot, to bring it inside to my back porch. Didn't really need re-potting. Since the curry tree is less cold tolerant than any of the others, I wanted to get that inside, before starting anything else. Eventually, I might trim a little more - from the tallest, if new growth appears below. I didn't pick the seeds this year; in fact, I didn't even see these or I would have pulled them early. I feel like I know that curry tree, with your yearly reports! It's like seeing an old friend. pepperhead212,

desertwoman That tree is 11 years old, I think, so it's been around a while! Not quite as long as that older lime tree, which will be 22 next spring!

pepperhead212 , do you do a soapy or something soil drench for insects before you bring in your plants?

ahntjudy I sprayed it down, all over the fabric pot and the soil, with a 50/50 solution of H2O2 and water, and later I will soak it with some orange oil and water, before bringing inside for good. At the end I diluted the peroxide solution more - sort of what I use on the plants in the garden through the summer (then it's 1 c to a gal of solution), and sprayed the leaves, as well, before bringing it inside to the porch. I'll watch it closely, for any activity of any type.
