Anyone have a deer repellant remedy that works, besides fencing?
I've read they don't like strong odors so hanging pouches of shaved Irish Spring soap repels them (or even just tossing a bar here and there). Or rotten eggs/milk mixture- though I'm sure that would repel me!

Alum sprinkled on a plant…consider it a re-education tool. It only takes a nibble.
Make sure the wind is at your back if you should try this.

the food grade stuff you find at the grocery store? or something/somewhere else?

Sorry but this is the first thing that came to mind. I've been using Irish Spring on my peach trees but they're still nibbling on them. Will try the alum next.

the food grade stuff you find at the grocery store? or something/somewhere else? The deer have already determined that your garden is food grade. I'd recommend NON-food grade. < > Just know that they'll eat some anyway, especially after it loses its potency or rain washes it off.
