Not sure why I didn't reply to this thread earlier. In the garden at the moment, broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage are making their final appearance until fall. English and Persian cucs are coming on, beets, carrots, chard, radishes, pole and bush beans, two hills of zucchini, a hill of Patty Pan, butternut, a mystery squash, poblano, Anaheim and Nu-mex chilies, tomatillo "Verde", dill, potato, calendula, Mexican marigold, sunflower, and eight varieties of tomatoes.

I decided I wanted room to plant pumpkins and gourds and squash but not enough room for all the vines in the regular garden. We have a lot of deer so we had to come up with a place we could protect it with fencing. So we decided to fence in the area around the compost piles. We spent the day clearing out and pounding fence posts. Don't have the energy to finish putting up the fencing. That will have to wait till during the week after work. The area we fenced off is about 36 by 14 with the compost piles kind of in the middle. Enough room to let the vines sprawl. Will try to get some pictures when its all done. As far as the regular garden, beets are coming up, bought a four pack of red cabbage starts because mine didn't come up, spinach and some lettuce that reseeded. Waiting to put everything else in.

I kicked the 103 tomato plants that I grew for Dad out of the house. Took them to him Friday after work. I am hoping he got them all in the ground. He does protect them with old field tile, anything he has laying around.
When I got there, we had to sort them out, all one kind together. There were 9 varieties total. That was a job, but fun!

That's a heck of a lotta tomato plants. I can't imagine bending over planting all of them. Your Dad must be in great shape.
What does he do with all of those? Sell tomatoes somewhere I would guess.
