I need help with fig cuttings! My long-suffering yet productive Celeste fig tree was bitten hard by a freeze in March...there are several branches with leaf buds, and I'd like to know if they may be good to cut and plant now.

Is anyone here growing paw-paws? I am am curious but find the trees a bit sad looking. I have been considering planting a serviceberry bush or two in.

I'm thinking of trying to grow some "Wineberries" in the near future. I know that some areas consider them invasive, but they are a serious flashback to my LI/NY childhood where we would pick buckets of them every summer from the same patches that never seemed to spread anywhere. The flavor is nothing like any other berry, & the plants themselves are very attractive with their rusty-brown stems. They're not easy to find, but a few vendors on Etsy carry them.

alpacasock, I have a serviceberry bush (Amelanchier canadensis) I planted last year. They are a nice native, but from what I understand, if you want the berries, you will be competing with the birds. Also, last year my berries got this nasty fungus - granted it was only the first year in the ground. Their beautiful fall color puts the invasive burning bush to shame.
