That's all I grow, except a short row of bush beans for earlier eating. They do produce later, but you get more bang for your buck in the space, and little bending over to pick! They produce until frost. Kentucky Wonder are the ones I grow, been saving the seed for years.
Saw my first Japanese beetles today. Mainly on the asparagus ferns. A couple on beans. Also found eggs on under side if winter squash leaf. Neem oiled them right away. Darn white butterflies are everywhere. Haven’t seen cabbage worms yet. Just a matter of time.
First time my Jolyene Nichole daylily has bloomed in years. First hubby picked it up at a garden center in South Carolina in the mid 90s. I moved it when we built the house and hubby has mowed it off just about every year. I moved it beside of the deck last year and it's evidently happy with its new location.
