I'm growing Sea Holly this year, have some plants up and they are still inside. Seem to be doing well but would appreciate any thoughts or tips on them. I think I read they are perennial and cold tolerant. So wondered if any of you grew these, when did you set them outside? Thanks

I had to look these up, as I have not heard of them They are really striking. And I see they are drought tolerant. I'd love to grow some-I've been thinking about a blue flower for a certain area. Will have to be next year. Having not grown them I don't have first hand knowledge but I'm thinking yours could be hardened off now and get planted in a few days.

Thanks for taking a minute to look up the Sea Holly and for your comments. They are kind of a quirky little flower, supposed to be a perennial once you get them established and now are kind of trendy with cut flower growers. From what I have read, you can get a deeper blue color if you allow them some shade part of the day. If you are interested I can follow up later with how they are doing.

Yes, I'd love to hear how they do for you. I just saw you mention in another post that you are in the Denver area which has certain similarities to my growing. climate.
It would be helpful for any of us to know your general location when you post questions. If you could post your location and growing zone in your Signature Line then we can see that info each time you post. Click on Profile> Edit Profile>Personal and scroll down to Signature and then Save

I found I have some seed for this, albeit, very old, from 2004. May try to see if it sprouts.
