Cut more celery yesterday, it was in a shadier area and seemed to do better than the ones in fuller sun. The ones in the full sun seemed to have more pest issues even though I put egg shells around them all. Maybe the one batch was my trap crop. 3 more still out there which will come out before weeks end.
The first time I grew celery it was wonderful - large succulent stalks. I had no idea it could grow that big. I also had no idea what I was doing, and that getting it that large here was a fluke. (It is grown commercially about 50 miles from here, likely using a propriatory variety.)
Since then I've had no luck with it besides getting leaves for seasoning, though I've tried several methods. I also no longer want to devote that much water to trying to grow it. I don't love it that much. (But never say never, lol)
