You have a right nice little farm there! Thanks Mumsey, I would like a few more acres but my keeper tells me this is enough.

"if I can sort of get it into the garage without someone finding out I bought another tractor."
Good Luck on that one!

The little tractor that sweetheart and I bought last spring along with me running it helped us save $1000 in cost for bringing the tree behind the garage down. All brush was moved to the pasture with the forks attachment and logs with the bucket. Sure makes life easier and helps justify the money spent buying the tractor.

In moving the chicken house Saturday I had to jury rig extensions on the forks. In doing this I think I snapped a pin in the quick attach assembly. Luckily the tractor goes in for its 1yr oil change and maintenance program this week. Hopefully this misuse on my part doesn’t get to expensive. Lesson learned on my part.

The dealer picked up the tractor yesterday for the oil change and yearly service inspection. Got a call later in the afternoon about the repair estimate for the loader. $500 for the part plus shipping and labor is going to total $700. Ouch! Lesson learned!

centralilrookie. Ouch! My dad would fiddle with the thing, call a dozen places for parts, spend a couple days mulling it over before finally caving to prices. Cheap old fart. Sometimes brother will bypass him and go get it done!

Mumsey, I could have it repaired by welding a split tube over the bent one but the tractor is basically new and if I unexpectedly passed away I would want sweetheart to get the most money out of it if she decided to sell the tractor.

On a positive note, I did put sharp blades on the mowing tractor yesterday and was pleased that the anti-seeze that I brushed on the threads of the bolts that hold the blades on did its job and were easy to loosen. Makes changing blades enjoyable.

Our little tractor was returned last night from its spring service appointment. Engine oil and filter change, hydraulic filter and air filter replaced. That’s all on one bill. The bill for the loader attachment repair is separate from the spring service bill. I’m not sure I really want sweetheart to know how much my screwup cost. 🤫

Got motivated to clean up the remaining trunk portions of the tree taken down this spring. Being that I had to go around the block to get to the back of the property, that has a large brush pile, I strapped the pieces to the forks.

Going to pickup this little field cultivator this week. Hopefully it will mix the cow manure and leave the soil more clody than the tiller does for spring.

Going to pickup this little field cultivator this week Looks like a nice, solid little unit, and you can never have enough attachments! I have always found the best tool for getting manure mixed in is a plow. I have a tiller, drag, middle buster plow and am currently looking for a one-bottom plow.

Attachments make life so much easier and the tractor more versatile. Since it’s quite a walk down to the pumpkin/squash patch I’m thinking of putting the forks on with a pallet to take sweetheart down there to see what’s there. She didn’t think much of sitting in the bucket last time. 😂😂😂
