I take it there's no code enforcement division in your area? I presume in a rural area they don't have a code against farm machinery lying around the farm. A lot of farmers have old equipment kept around for parts and such, as well as memories.

"Those two-cylinder John Deeres should be out plowing fields, the sound they make is music to all us JD fanatics."

When I was 15 years old I went to work for the neighbor who raised turkeys. He had two of those old JD 2 cylinder tractors. Ya, I spent some time on them. Two cylinders, big flywheel. Put, put, put .......

My uncle, who ran a dairy/tobacco/corn farm, had several large tractors, and kept one of those old JD 2-cylinders and a Farm-all to train us kids on using. Putt, putt, putt, yes indeed.

Here's a picture of some of my equipment. The green one is my John Deere 1025R, a 25 HP diesel 4x4 with hydrostatic drive. On the back is a 48" tiller made by Sicma in Italy, just picked it up this year. I also have a 5' mower deck, middle buster plow, 5' blade, and front forks. I bought it with turf tires because of mowing and it does okay in the dirt with those tires on. The tractor in front is a 20-year-old 17 HP Poulan Pro with 42" mower deck and bagger system, also have a 48" roller. The one to the right is a newer 20 HP Poulan Pro with a 48" mulching deck. I am looking at another 4x4 John Deere 650 and will buy it if I can sort of get it into the garage without someone finding out I bought another tractor. Also have a 5 HP chipper and Troy Bilt tiller.

martywny , What a good looking stable of equipment. A 650 Deere would be a great addition! We have a 345 Deere mower that I’m looking to add a bagger too.

We have a 345 Deere mower that I’m looking to add a bagger too. I like the bagger and wish I could find a unit that mulches and bags in one pass. If I run the bagger I can get about 3 passes of leaf pickup before I have to empty it. If I mulch first, I can get one entire side of my front lawn in there, or about 20 passes in those two bags. I pull that trailer behind the mower and empty the bags into it because my compost pile is about 600' from the front lawns.
