James said to post pictures of Tractors. Soooo, I figured I'd start a new thread just for machinery. There's probably already one but I didn't see it, but lately I can't find my *$$ with both hands.... Alan Tractor. Kubota L4400. Hydrostatic Transmission has me completely spoiled! Allis Chalmers tiller. My winter time project. Knock the rust off of it and put new bearings and hopefully have it ready by spring.

Wow. My dad had the same tiller. I eventually took it over as he got older. One day when I took it to their place to do some tilling for them, the engine literally blew up, throwing cast iron around. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
My current tiller has a Honda engine, but I don't remember the brand of the actual tiller. Troy-Bilt, maybe.

That's a fine looking tiller and some good looking helpers! Reminds me of my three little sisters.
My tiller is a troybuilt Bronco. I really should upgrade to a Horse but if I can get the the Allis Chalmers working I can make do with the Bronco until I wear it out.
I don't think I've ever exploded an engine... I've burned a few out but never exploded one.

We had a Troy-Bilt Horse and I absolutely hated it! Our soil is rocky and when it would hit a fist-sized or larger rock it would jump out of the ground and take off. I bought a Craftsman rear tine tiller in 2001 and loved it, mostly because it had counter rotating tines that didn't drag me around at warp speed. Since I decided to go with raised beds and a no-dig approach, I gave it to my parents this spring to use on their garden and it's still going strong.
When I first moved here, my first husband had a Bolens 1054 with a tiller attachment that his grandfather had bought in the early seventies. It was a beast until one of the drive gears broke.

Mumsey, you can actually put old metal workhorses in a yard and not get cited?

SpringRain🕊️ Those are on dad’s property. Looks like a road but it’s only road around the quarry. Not even remotely visible from any public road. Even if they were it’s no big deal out in the country.

Once used and now retired at the tractor graveyard! Those two-cylinder John Deeres should be out plowing fields, the sound they make is music to all us JD fanatics.

martywny, There's an old Case out there somewhere too. It's one we had when I was a kid, we called it "The Little Red Tractor". I drove it many times at 8 yrs old. Scary. At least it scared the pants off Mom. Dad keeps all that stuff, it's his "savings account" he says. I won't get started on the refrigeration section, or the water heater section, or the old planters, discs and giant band saws.......

Mumsey, I take it there's no code enforcement division in your area? ;)
