I started with two 4'x 8' raised beds and started adding more in 2020. I wanted to keep the same distance between the beds but when you're working by yourself it's hard to keep measuring and adjusting constantly. So I cut two pieces of scrap lumber the same length as the distance between my beds. That worked great as it made it easier as when the spacers were butted up snugly against both ends of the bed, my distance was even. When I decided to make beds on the other side, I cut two more scraps of lumber a foot or so longer to gauge the distance for the main path. Yesterday when I had to reposition and level one bed, I was so happy I'd kept these spacers as it made the job so much easier.
