This is a first for me. I've never in all my years seen a tree frog! I was trimming the Ivory Halo Dogwood bush and suddenly came upon this little guy. He blends in well with the foliage! Not in the least afraid of me. I named him Teddy. Then yesterday in the garden I heard something, like crackling. I looked down and there was movement in the path under the black plastic which is covered with straw. The crackling noise was the straw, extremely dried out. I watched it move about 2 feet. Got brave and lifted the edge of the plastic. NOTHING THERE! I was thinking garter snake, giant earthworm or little toad. I'll keep watching!

That's cool. I get a lot of spadefoots, some collared lizards, and a gopher snake now and then, but a frog wouldn't last a day in this place.

Hubby had told me that we had a tree frog in the deck storage unit. Well, that is nothing new. We have a frog in there every year.
But when I opened the unit yesterday, what I saw was no tree frog. This little guy was bigger, sat in a more upright angle, and seemed to have more of a "beak like" nose. He disappeared into the deep before I could further examine him.

No tree frogs, a ton of western fence lizards though.

"western fence lizard" That is a new one on me. I have lived in Northern Utah for a lifetime and never heard the name "western fence lizard". There were some lizards up on the foothills that we called "Blue Bellies" or just "Lizard".
