The plastic over the root zone of the plants could be a problem as well. If ammonia is being released by the manure, it will accumulate under the plastic.

The manure was supposedly aged for a year and then i put it onto the garden...maybe put too much or maybe it's hot.

That chicken pen might have had herbicide laced hay or straw that the manure was mixed with. Just thinking with you, and everyone.

A Dave the Good video. I'm a fan of his. In Nathan's pictures I did not see the leaf distortion -- knotting, wadding -- that manure herbicide causes.

that manure herbicide causes. The one pic...β¦ in the first set of pics, number 3, the leaves in the middle of the pic. As the disease progressed, the plants seem to just be rotting. But in the beginning, to me, it looks like some stem twisting along with leaf burn. What do you think tom π ?

lady at Zamzows diagnosed it as a blight. We had about 1" of rain since this morning. Unusually late spring showers considering the high desert environment. Bought a product called Revitalize Bio-Fungicide. Going to do a soil drench and a spray. Will keep you posted.

Blight.
Why does everything look like blight? hahahhahaha
One blight that kills all kinds of vegetation. Shoo! That's as good of a record as Round Up has!

Just a couple of thoughts -
Possibly if your beds are in full sun and you have had the high temperatures some of us are getting, that white plastic could trap hold a lot of heat in the soil. If you have very little soil exposed, then maybe not enough to allow some cooling off. Also it traps excess moisture around the roots too.
Another possibility is that if the white plastic you have down around your plants was for another use, and not garden use, it could be leaching some sort of chemicals into the soil that is harming the plants.
Since all of the plants look distressed and damaged, my first guess would be that the white plastic is just not breathable enough and reflecting too much heat, almost cooking the plants.
You can try removing some of the plastic and possibly using some shade cloth and see if you notice a difference.

If you are going to use manure, put it on the plot in the fall after first frost. Till it in and then it has all winter to decompose and become something of use to plants. Never put manures on during growing season!
