I noticed the first Zucchini and cucumber flowers the other day. Zuke flower was a male, but I didnt have time to check the cuke. I think I planted a gynoecious, parthenocarpic variety, but really don't remember at the moment.

Nothing blooming here. Daffodils are hanging on. Trees all budding, but no real leaves yet. Not even a hint of any kind of flower! Dad's apple trees are barely budding. His rhubarb is looking great though.

Redbud tree is still blooming. They look like big pink clouds down by the garden. Apple tree and cherry tree are in bloom, along with the pink flowering crab. Tulips are looking good, daffodils are almost done. And dandelions…it’s hard to tell the goldfinches from the yellow blooms…until they take wing.

my Lilacs are showing off big time. I'm jealous! We had them years ago, but lost them. Tried again with no success. They are showy.

Nothing blooming here except dandelions and violets, but that's OK. Fine wine takes time!

Believe it or not, at least one tomato has a flower bud on it! Not open, but I was surprised, and wasn't really looking for it - just found it because it is the largest plant (the Brandyboy F2), and I was looking to attach the upper part of the plant, a few inches higher than when I initially attached it to a stake, to help against the wind, that has been non-stop around here. I'll have to check the cherries - they are usually the first to flower. Update: I checked over all of my tomatoes today, and only one other variety had flower buds - Surrender, a determinate variety, that is acidic, and often used in Indian curries, obviously attractive to me! And there was a cluster of them - hard to see, since the camera focuses on the leaves: Another tomato with flower buds - Surrender. by pepperhead212, on Flickr I was surprised that not one of the cherries had any buds yet.

Lilacs are starting to bloom. Also perennial verbena. Hostas are shooting up like wildifire! No sign of hibiscus sprouting yet.

Late yesterday, I noticed some of those cherries with clusters of unopened flowers on them - the Sunrise, Yellow Warren, and the Sunsugar. I do remember that Sunrise was the first to ripen tomato, the years I grew it in the past.

To keep things blooming we must water. Here’s sweetheart with her broken ankle, holding on Josie’s leash,, driving the gator watering the floors with me assisting moving the hose to keep her out of trouble………
