Daffodils…multiple clumps of daffodils in the flower garden. I think I need to plant more of them come fall. They make such a bright spots in the flower garden.

My Lenten Rose is blooming finally. I should go take a picture, but it's raining like crazy. Daffodils are showing off this year as are the Hyacinths. Our Weeping Willow tree is blooming bright yellow green along side the Forsythia. They are keeping the Honey Bees happy

I keep adding daffodils binnylou, for that very reason- more spring brightness. My daffs are starting to wind down. Grape hyacinth and vinca are in full bloom and tulips are just starting. And of course- a riot of dandelions.

Azaleas, spring asters (discovered a nice new yellow mugwort with long-lasting blooms --- it will be propagated), rosemary, red-hot pokers, wax yellows, dutch clover, false garlic...and the white Japanese iris are popping out, as well as the tall blue iris. More to come. Bees and butterflies abound. Got to love Spring.

My rosemary doesn't flower any more, or I should say, the variety I now have doesn't flower - one of those sterile varieties, like the large leaf sage, that also doesn't flower. The tulips are starting to lose the first flowers, but still getting some. Otherwise, nothing out here yet...except some weeds, of course.

The surprise new yellow mug-or-ragwort is still blooming bright, lemon-yellow after three weeks. The St.John's Wort is loaded with buds, about to bust out with powder-puff blooms of the same color themselves. I remember mentioning the St. John's Wort to a non-gardener friend a few years ago. Told him that I had them and how they were spreading, and he looked at me seriously and intensely and asked, "Have you seen the doctor yet?" I explained. We laughed.

For the first time in 25 years, I have azaleas blooming!! I never get around to deer-proof-spraying the azaleas we planted 25 years ago, & the deer always browse on them during the winter months to the point where I've yet to see a bloom from them. This year, for whatever reason, I have one with lots of blooms, & two with a few. I can only guess that our very mild winter, the increased development around here, + the local devastation of Chronic Wasting Disease has taken its toll on the population.

The first Zinnias of note that are now in 15 gal. black pots, mostly the Queen series, including the new Queen Lemon Peach. Also a white (polar bear), and a pale yellow (Isabellina) cuz I thought they'd all look good together. Many are Just starting to bloom, open but not fully mature. Very pretty. A nice mix of colors. Not sure yet if I'll just let them bloom in peace, or take cuttings, or save seed from them. There's time for all options.

Plum tree is in full bloom and the two Redbuds are just starting to show color. Unfortunately, the plum tree does not have a pollinator.
Daffodils still look good and the dandelions are ready to replace the daffodils for that burst of yellow.
