That will work if you do not have ground water.
Knock a hole in the concrete floor with a sledge hammer, then dig your pit. Get a piece of plywood to cover the hole.

SpringRain🕊️ ... The garden rabbit guard fence is supported by and attached to steel u channel fence posts...about 3 feet apart... I think I'll use my tall wooden garden stakes for the outer pole of each trellis section...attaching the lower part of those stakes, probably with zip ties or something, to the existing fence posts for support...Probably will hammer them in a little first... Then from above the top of the rabbit guard fence is where I'll start weaving the branches to make each 3 foot trellis section...

ahntjudy, I'd love to see photos when it's done, if that's convenient for you. BTW, I'm redesigning my planned fences after reading your post. You're inspirational!
