I scraped a shin last week, the injury has become inflamed, so I have an opportunity to experiment on myself. Commercial products and even garlic have not worked well for me. Last night I was having a banana, and I thought of trying the peel. The inner lining of the peel is astringent and creamy. I suppose it leaves a coating of pectin when rubbed on. It seems to help. I checked the internet this morning and found advice on skin care. www.healthline.com/health/banana-peel-uses
