I have a hard time choosing sometimes but I guess I tend to favor the pinks and yellows. But that purple is stunning on that lupine. How big are those flowers, lisaann?

Lisa, I put that variety in a small garden and they kept reseeding, spreading and the only things that gave them any competition were horseradish and mint!

I have a clump of chives in my herb garden but I cut off the flower heads after they are done blooming so that they doesn't go to seed.

Here is my yellow lupine. It's not as impressive as I had hoped. I think that I like the pink and purple ones better.

Wascly Wabbits!! You know...there is so much stuff to eat out there... You wonder why they have to eat our stuff... I guess for rabbits and the like, life is just a big salad bar... Just belly up...and go for the good stuff...

I will have to get used to putting wire rings around the base of plants if I am to have any perennials, just like the veggies!

My baptisma bloom lasted just under 3 weeks, it blooms up the stalk. By the end of the bloom you will still get random single blooms that pop off the stem. I don't know if they are fragrant..always forget to sniff new blooms..the color takes my breath away. I've just started a circle of seed in a pot that I'll put in a sheltered spot and hopefully they will return next year. I'll make sure that they are mulched this winter. They are a bi-annual so always keep seed.

I am bumping this, because I was out there in the yard..............and thinking. And pondering.............
How did those of you with that baptisia.................
My question is:
Is that died back now? Or did it die back way before we had frost?

Out of 8 transplant some died and the rest were eaten by the rabbits. I will have to start over next year.
