James, six bucks is a small fee for the enjoyment you get from sharing your beautiful photos.

"James, six bucks is a small fee for the enjoyment you get from sharing your beautiful photos."
That is six bucks a month. Well I am retired on limited income and I don't want to spend that money for something they had been doing for free for many years..........
Well, like I said, they ticked me off, and I deleted all my photos with them and left them. Photobucket can cram it! No I will not be going there again!

When they first started charging, a lot of people left. I use Dropbox, on which I stored a lot. Eventually wanted more services, so decided it was worth it for me to pay a fee. You can store your photos on one of those little memory USB thingies and make backup copies if you tend to lose them, which I do, which is why I have Dropbox. I am sure there are others here who know of good free storage places for pictures. The trade off for not paying is that you need to deal with the advertising that pays for their equipment and connections.

No free lunch for you, I guess. Get a USB or three and store your own data. Free and no ads.

When it came time to get a cell phone, I went looking for a camera with attached phone. I found a good one and it is always in my pocket. I confess I have taken a lot of pics with the lil cell phone camera and shared them online. I have this nice 35 mm camera sitting here with 3 different lenses, but seldom pick it up any more.

James , which phone camera did you choose? I am always impressed by the quality of your photos taken with your phone.

Just don't get too many bells and whistles. My daughter talked me into getting one with a pen to write notes and lists on the screen. Easier for me to write a list on a piece of paper I can place in the shopping cart, than to have to keep pulling out the phone. Also has something called Bing, which I have never used. Still paying for that expensive mistake of a phone. Not to say it doesn't work well- it works fine. Just rather not spend money for something I don't use.

I ran it past my wife and got thumbs down. So, guess I won't be updating. She is the boss!
