Wondering when variety of corn you grow. Just over at www.sandhillpreservation.com. Realized how little I know about corn. I have always grown sweet corn, Honey Cream and/or Incredible Corn. I didn't realize Incredible is an ornamental corn and can be left longer on the stalk to dry it. It is sooo good! But I did try to freeze it and found that when I thawed it to use it was very watery. . What is your experience with corn and do you use just for sweet corn?

lilolpeapicker, Did you blanch it before freezing? I don't know what kind we got at the farm stand, but it is not watery after frozen. I have tried blanching and freezing on the cob, which we didn't like. It ended up tasting like corn cob. So now I remove it from the cob after blanching.

I take some corn off for soups and salads but I love on the cob! I don't have a lot of space for corn but it is my favorite veggie right from the garden. Sometimes I peel the husk on the way into the house and eat it without cooking. Hmmhmm good
