Kale or Arugula or chick peas and other stuff, including BEETS.
Not interested in growing that stuff.
What vegetables LEAST interest you to grow?
Hugs and smiles at all my garden friends!

Things like kohlrabi, cauliflower, lima beans, Brussel sprouts, and parsnips... I do not like to eat them, and I won't grow them. Arugula, on the other hand, is at the top of my list of favorites.

Beets taste like dirt to me, so that's one on my list. And, while I use chick peas and other legumes, I'd rather use the space for other things, and simply buy them - they're cheap enough.

Okra, brussel sprouts, kohlrabi. Like them all, but can live without them.
Beets are a must have. Fresh beets are pricey and not often seen in stores. They sell well at market.

Okra for me too but I do grow eggplant and fennel for my sister. Parsnip, radishes and kohlrabi are also on my no list.

Kohlrabi, brussel sprouts, broccoli, turnips, cabbage and cauliflower. Didn't like them growing up and would rather concentrate on green beans, cucumbers, squash, okra, tomatoes, corn, bell peppers and jalapeรฑos.

Okra and eggplant, - are the two I feel most strongly about. I don't eat them and won't ever grow them.

Okra...never grew it, probably never will.
Eggplant ๐ has been tried twice. No sense in trying again. Itโs so fun to find the little purple eggplant babies, but my taste buds just donโt appreciate them.
I do have to say that Iโve never eaten okra. Many years ago, I made a rabbit stew and put okra in it. Hubby took it for lunch. I never tasted it. I couldnโt get past the appearance. I never made that stew again.

Vile, slimy, alien pods of okra.

My list of don't-care-to-grows is basically things that are difficult for me to cultivate (like corn, pole and shelling beans), or are cheap and plentiful in stores or markets (like onions, potatoes), or things we don't use much of (like celery, radishes, cabbage). Love them all, have grown them all, but I gots me limits of body and space to grow. Can't think of anything offhand that I would refuse to try, 'cept poison ivy. I'm good for most everything else.

Kale, parsnips. cauliflower. I've grown Brussels sprouts, but got too many aphids late in the season. I grew okra for a friend, but she rarely came in time for the smaller, more tasty pods. The larger pods are definitely not worth my time.

This thread is unfair to the potentials of life. How can you know what you shouldn't grow? You don't like a taste or texture? Well, tastes change as we age, and what is unpleasant in one decade of life may be pleasant in the next. A person who has experienced only canned yams does not know the true taste of sweet potatoes. Climate doesn't support you? Well, planting scheduling can alter climate. After two years of crop failure, I had abundant lettuce this year by over wintering. Don't have space? There is vertical gardening. Getting old and think you ought to give up and die? Garden and enjoy better health and a longer life. Don't let a disappointment or two discourage you from doing what may be in your best interest. I'm no positive thinker but I have repeatedly found advantages in the rejected. Enough of my sermonizing.

How can you know what you shouldn't grow? Ah Tom, it's not a should or shouldn't for me. It's a definite. I will never eat or grow okra. Never. And even after 70 years on this planet I will, at best, tolerate eggplant. I have plenty of potentials of life. I love exploring, I love life and I embrace it with passion. But okra and eggplant? Ain't gonna happen. ;)

But okra and eggplant? Ain't gonna happen. I hated okra as a child, but now it's a luxury. I've no idea what I am going to come to like tomorrow.
