Wheelgarden , she certainly has a “happy to be here” look on her face. She must be young…her teeth look so clean and white.

Sharpie the Wonderdog is advanced in age, with serious hip dysplasia. We found a perfectly-fitting doggie wheelchair for her, and she has taken right to it. She really seems to like it. Wheelgarden, and his trusty companion, Wheeldog!

I heard a ruckus in the backyard. The Princess got a squirrel, there was blood dripping from her mouth. Looked like maybe she bit her tongue or the squirrel got ahold of it. When it was all said and done, Princess has a 1" cut about 1.5" back from her snout, on the outside of the upper lip, plus a small one on the under side. It stopped bleeding pretty quickly, cleaned her up and all the blood she got all over herself. The squirrel was not lucky. Looked to be an older one, very few tail hairs left. I'll keep an eye on her for infection, etc. If necessary we'll go see the vet tomorrow. I'll ice it tonight if she will allow it.

Oh, this show-up pup. We located her original owner --- an elderly lady down the street, whose grandson got her as a pup for his grandma, but the lady can't keep her as the doggie is growing, very active, and rangy. The dog nips heels and wheels from behind with every step you take. She's taking to basic training pretty well and is at happy home here, so it might work out. She's as sweet and polite and silly as can be. I'm not taking her to the pound, that's a death sentence 'round here. Sharpie is a bit jealous, but warming up to her. She's stealing our hearts, too.

Wheelgarden, plus she has one blue and one brown (?) eye - and she's really quite stunning with the combination of the intense blue eye and the blended color of her fur.

Looks like a cattle dog or mix of such. Definitely some Australian Cattle dog in that cutie!! Been there, done that. Our now dearly departed adoptee was an Aussi Cattle dog/Beagle mix.

The Princess got a squirrel, there was blood dripping from her mouth. Jesse is a dedicated squirrel - rabbit chaser but I dread the day she really catches 1.

The Princess sleeping with her nose in my business! She had just come in from outside. She is not fond of the cold!

Sharpie and Newbee, the two Australian sisters, have made peace.

I can't whistle very well, and Newbee responds right away to a sharp, loud whistle. So I took the mouthpiece off my soprano recorder and tried it --- lo and behold, it worked. She comes running like a blue streak.

What started out as a New large dog pillow, yesterday morning about 10am, is now a winter wonderland in Josie’s garage kennel. Luckily it was half priced!!
