I did not read the article, but what I know is that most beef is grass-finished and before that was fed the normal corn-based diet.

Or started on grass, then grain-finished. I wonder what the Omega ratios are for these growing methods.

I wonder what the Omega ratios are for these growing methods. a very good question. I haven't eaten red meat in 40 years. It was very easy for me to let go of. I don't miss it at all.

The industry tries to make things much more confusing than is necessary. Most of the meat that is eaten in the USA comes from Confined Animal Feeding Operations, meat factories and not from farms. Those animals are fed a high grain diet to pack on weight as fast as possible. All of these animals start life on pastures, eating grass but are moved to these CAFO's at a fairly early age. The only way to know where the meat you chose was raised is to know the producer, which means not buying meat at the grocers.
