Mumsey I'm thinking she decided to place it in OGC Watchdog as I see the same title thread there I have now moved all responses to her original thread in Club OCG to OGC Watchdog edit: however , I have no idea why mummy's post "crickets anyone?" is now the above pea's original post!!

Do you get vaccines when the flu shot comes out each year? Nope, I've never had one. I'm highly sensitive to mercury, and flu shots contain mercury. I had no idea they have GMO's as well.

I will have to ask the same about GMO flu vaccine. I have always gotten them for free at work, but this year I will have to go elsewhere for it. I might even skip it this year, though I have gotten them for 23 years.

I've never had a flu shot and don't plan to ever have one. I use Chinese herbal formulas to keep my immune system strong and I also use them when I have the very first sign of a cold/flu. It knocks it right out. I extremely rarely get a full on cold or flu.
Most flu shots that are single dose, pre-filled or nasal spray are mercury free as they do not need to be preserved (the mercury is a preservative) .

Mumsey I'm thinking she decided to place it in OGC Watchdog as I see the same title thread there That's exactly what I was doing....been having brain freeze issues!! I do get the flu shot because I am on the bus with the kids. About 3 years ago I had pneumonia twice in the same year and 4 months apart and also being diabetic it is recommended.

I extremely rarely get a full on cold or flu. I can't even remember the last time I had a cold, and my only flu was when I was in my thirties, nearly forty years ago. I'd be interested to know more about your Chinese herbal formulas desertwoman .

I think I may have figured it out. I'm thinking that Mumsey posted her reply "crickets anyone?", at the other thread , before pea posted her new thread here. And so when I moved all the posts from the other thread to here, they got posted in chronological order, putting mumsey's first.

Is there a link to the other thread? I rarely get sick and can't remember the last. I don't think I've ever had the flu, but did have the flu shot a couple times, but not for years. I think because the flu vaccine is 'the best guess' to which strains will be circulating, it's often not very effective, esp for older people. I recently did have the shingles vaccine, and will renew my pneumonia sometime this year cuz I'm old and 'genetics'. I've seen the problems caused by both in my family. I think vaccines and various meds over time have done a great deal of good (polio, small pox), but there are too many of them today to be well-versed enough to make competent decisions. If at all possible, I also stay away from meds/chemicals, including herbs. Just too many unknowns, especially if you buy them instead of grow your own. I have my own built in 'placebo effect'. I just don't believe I'll get sick, and if I do, that I'll recover fast. Fortunately I usually can stay away from crowds, and our weather mostly prevents having to be in enclosed spaces. Eventually my good luck will probably run out, but till then, that's my story, and I'm sticking with it. ;) Denial is not just a river in Egypt.

Is there a link to the other thread? No. It's all here in this thread, now. The other thread no longer exists.

"I'm thinking that Mumsey posted her reply "crickets anyone?", at the other thread" ahhh But I did indeed start a new thread with same info and I see that it was at the same time as Mumsey's...could they have crossed or messed up with the computer mind? so to speak
