38* and sunny, barely a breeze. Bedroom and bathroom windows on the south side are open, hoping to change the air in the house. The south side of the house is so warm, I doubt that there’s any heat loss from the house.

Flood watches have begun. Southwest Iowa border is first on the list this year, along the Missouri River.

Girls high school basketball tournaments are this week. These tournaments usually bring the blizzard of March, but after today, daytime temps are in the 50s.
This is the time when girls used to go shopping for their prom dress, fighting nasty downtown weather, determined to find that perfect dress.

It has been very windy today, and only got to 49° - around average, but it's been considerably higher. The last 2 days it rained around 2", but just misting today. Tonight, it is supposed to get into the 20s, and only to 38° tomorrow, with the bad wind still! But Wednesday, it's supposed to get well into the 50s again! Crazy weather, as always.
I did like one thing that the weather lady said tonight - that the 7 days in the forecast (and apparently more) will be our longest stretch with no precipitation since back in November! Of course, time will tell...

Mild stretch in store for us and next week in the 50's. It won't take the snow long to melt.

Mild stretch in store for us and next week in the 50's. Mild stretching is good in a store or anywhere else for that matter. I'd like to be in my mid-50s next week, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

I'd like to be in my mid-50s next week, but I don't think it's gonna happen. I don't even see mid-50s in my rearview mirror anymore.

I can still count to 50, so that's something.

Looking forward to Daylight Saving Time coming around next weekend. It's like an early and extra Spring Equinox. Afternoon daylight is longer, and moods improve all around.

There’s still melting piles of snow where hubby pushed snow, but most of the yard is clear.
The raised bed area is not yet accessible because the area between the beds is drifted full and is slow to melt.
It will happen..it does every year.
