I took a photo of that rosemary, to show you how large it can get. Thank you. I had no idea Rosemary spreads like that. Not sure I'd have room in my small garden. Maybe I should grow it in a container.

Rosemary can get big, Jobet, but you can keep it under control by pruning. I don't let mine get big. I keep it in a container and I prune it once per year to contain it to a size I like.

Just think - I prune that stuff all the time! Twice a year I trilm it way back - Thanksgiving and Easter. I take a large trash bag of it into work, with a bunch of left over plastic bags, so whoever wants some can take it. And many other times I trim it out of the paths, and give it to certain people that I know like it. That stuff can't be stopped!

i started trimming mine up, like a tree, keeping a bare 'trunk'. there's one across town, that someone has trimmed up, and it's a good 6' tall, and the trunk is about 10" circumference I'd guess.

Basil is the best herbs, leaves are good and also to nice keep inside. I also would like to say that you must keep the proper care of the leaves once the herbs increases in size. It may lead to dirty place so, its important to do disposable of waste.
