I will, & he deserves it. The man has really been put thru the wringer with me this past year. An accident & subsequent emergency shoulder replacement last February & then my heart surgery this past January. I seem to be perpetually out of commission!!!

Today was seed planting day- tomatoes and chiles. They sit in the boiler room where it is toasty Also potted up my first NM chiles that have their first true leaves- they sat in my little greenhouse all day and loved the heat and sun.

Today, Mom wanted a veggie garden planted so she could provide for family, neighbors and friends. Despite child labor laws, I was endentured into service. Weeded then planted 2 hills of zucchini, 2 hills of watermelon, rows of cucumber, lettuce, bell pepper, and a lone Big Beef tomato. Came home and planted Blue Lake and French green beans. Can I file a claim for child abuse?

Latitude33, Sometimes we do feel like children! Dad thought since brother lives with them he would get $500 stimulus $$$ for him! Uh, NO! Brother gets his own. I think Dad was just pushing my buttons.

Went to Farm Fleet yesterday and got Dad's potatoes and seeds. Sale was to start on Burpee seeds today, 25% off. I asked for the sale price so I wouldn't have to make another trip out. They were very good about it and instantly started giving everyone sale prices.
Then I headed off to Dads. I stayed outside and we visited from about 10 feet apart. Brother has been tilling gardens, we will be planting onions/potatoes on Friday.

We are still working five days a week but down to a small crew. Our company provides telecommunications and connectivity to industries like logistics, government and medical so we have to be out there. Fortunately, everyone is taking this seriously and doing what needs to be done.

I'm dabbling is this'n'that today. Cleaned up a closet, made ham/potato soup in insta pot. Cut tops off water bottles for tomato seedlings, found more containers up top in garage for seedlings. Watered basement garden. Finishing up hanging sleeve on last wall hanging quilt. Really wanted to put up garden fence today, drizzling off and on. Tomorrow it is then.

Mailed seeds, books, and homemade bread to a couple of friends. I'll drop some homemade bread and homegrown greens on a local friend tomorrow.

I did more cleaning up today, and weed-wacked some areas - still not really in need of mowing. While I was weed-wacking, I found a volunteer flower in the middle of the lawn, and I figured that I'd save myself the time trying to figure out what it was, and ask the flower experts here! Here is the plant: 2020-04-06_04-03-02 by pepperhead212, on Flickr I also got some of my irrigation system set up, though I still didn't put out the timer system, in case there is a late freeze. There really isn't that much of a need for the timers early on, because it's not that warm, and there's usually a lot of rain in the spring. So I put those in at the end of April, or beginning of May.

Looks like some critter has been spreading your hyacinth bulbs! 😁

I was thinking that, but I thought that they were bulbs, and I don't have any hyacinth, nor do any neighbors, that I can see. Yet, how do bulbs get spread??? A squirrel? I can see the seeds and birds.

Still working from home, probably all month and possibly into May. Rain overnight and most of the day today.

I'm still going to the office every day. Those babies keep coming. We are expecting a baby boom in a few months. The doctors will be happy. Office procedures and elective surgeries are all being postponed.
