So I went to Support and couldn't get in. And then I couldn't get back in here!! Took me about 40 minutes to finally get in to Support and then back in here. Several forums have reported the same issue at Support. I added our name to the list. It's seems to be a Proboard issue. SpringRain🕊️ binnylou and anyone else having trouble getting in

Spent most of yesterday at Dad's pulling rhubarb. What was to be 125 lbs turned out to be 151 lbs. Orders totaled 145 by the time I got there. That's 6 banana boxes full. We had 6 lb leftover and pulled 1 1/3 rows. It was extremely windy, kept us from sweating. After pulling, I would take a box to the house for step mom to wash. I had her stay inside since she has a cold and the wind would not be a good thing for her. She didn't like the idea but she stayed in and washed inside. The tops are whacked off in the garden. After washing it has to be bagged in 10 lb bags. I washed 3 boxes of it outside at the pump.
After bagging was done, Dad said "we" have to deliver in the morning. He said we can get it done in the morning and go fishing in the afternoon. Can't believe he is wanting to go fishing! Tag I'm it. So here I go at 7:00 and I'll be driving the delivery route, several grocery stores and a couple retirement/care centers. I suggested to him we have breakfast at one of the 3 HyVee stores we will be delivering to. He even said that sounded good!
His idea of cutting back this year is to not harvest the entire hill of rhubarb, pull only the large and medium size stalks and let the rest go. I was surprised. And we are not pruning all the apple trees this year. Just the ones we like.

PB/FF has a login glitch now and then, but they usually get it fixed pretty quick. Maybe if Mumsey gives them some rhubarb they'll work on it a little harder.

I got a dozen windows scrubbed on the outside, gave their window screens a good scrub and installed them. Got six more tomatoes planted. Pulled lots of weeds and did some weed whacking. Dahlia planting was on my list, but with days of rain on the way, I didn't want to risk rotting the tubers. So, I'll wait. Maybe in June.

Yesterday was a good day. Got the rhubarb delivered. Dad was ready to go when I got there at 7:30. Even had his jacket on! Got it all done pretty quickly and stopped and had breakfast at HyVee. The rest of the day was a comedy of errors. Dad was willing to go fishing, so out we went. First off I had to get out of the boat 3 times to even get us off shore. Recent rains have risen the water level, making the shoreline where we launch boats really shallow. So I decided wet feet it is. We used Old Blue as the "new" old boat has no anchor or rope yet. Dad did put some sealer on the leaks in Old Blue, so it didn't leak for us. Plus it was pretty windy, 10-13 mph straight from the west, so an anchor was a must. It was a struggle rowing against the wind. We had the anchor which worked well. Until about the 3rd time we put it down. Noticed we were floating pretty fast. The rope broke. Anchor gone. Dad laughed. I took note of where we put it down so brother can look for it when he scuba dives. Then we went to the center of the quarry where there is usually a "rock" island sticking up. It's covered with water now. We got hung up on rocks there. That was a job getting off those rocks. Told Dad we probably have a new hole in the boat now. Then we just drifted and ended up back on shore. So I got out and remembered seeing a usable anchor laying there. It's actually a vintage window weight, 9 lb. like this one: www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Double-Hung-Window-Weights-9-Pound-Lot-of-6-/283494434609On the way past a pile of trees in the water, Dad said tie up to that branch. Easier said than done, maneuvering between branches and fighting the wind to get the one we needed, I finally turned the boat around so I could be the one to grab it. Our red-neck anchor: We continued on, lowered the anchor which held surprisingly well considering it's only 9 lb. Then I got a snag and found I was hung up on the anchor rope. Dang. Then I spied a lure just like my Big O floating in a pile of branches. I was determined to get it and did. Discovered it probably belongs to a friend of mine who uses red line and the same lure. I'll clean it up and see if it can be salvaged. As for fish, Dad 1, Mumsey 8. We kept 5. Dad had several but they escaped the hook before getting them in the boat.

Mumsey, I have about 30 of those window weights around my garden, for holding down plastic, and the like. They work great! When I got the windows replaced, 3 or 4 years after getting the house, I saved them all...wasn't sure for what, at the time, but my garden wasn't as large, either.

I'll bet someday those weights will be treasured antiques, if they aren't already.
When I get new windows for my house, I'm getting sliding windows. They decrease the area for burglars to enter. Given the size of most of my windows, that eliminates anyone except a child from getting in. And they're easier to open.

I went out to the garden and mowed down the rye planted last fall. Another few drying days and I should be able to till in all that residue. Went to the back lot to cut that rye and I got the tractor stuck (so far, each of my three tractors has been stuck this season)I mowed around the lot once and when I got back up front the bottom dropped out and I was in about 12" of mud. About an hour with the come-along and I moved it over to the grass next to the lot where I was able to drive again. This tractor has turf tires so I can use it to mow the lawn and they also make it totally worthless in anything muddy. I have my dealer looking for a set of ag tires and will just switch them out to match what I am doing.

Yet another basal cell skin cancer removed today. This is the 7th one in 11 years and #8 will be removed next week... sigh.... All that youthful frying in the So-Cal sun and surf, at the ocean, has caught up and taken its toll.
Came home and puttered in the shady parts of the gardens.Transplanted some volunteer annuals.

desertwoman, let's hope no. 8 will be the last! I too spent far too much time in the sun; sun damage wasn't as well known then, and it was easy to think that being young was insulation against anything that could or might happen.
