Praying for a perfect healing. When I need to sit in the hospital, I try to have two things, a book of psalms and a book of jokes. They both help maintain your equalibrium.

Well hubby will be transferred to university hospital as soon as a bed is available. There's likely a blockage and he will be scheduled for a catheterization soon. It's just a bit of a waiting game now. I was so tired last night that I found it hard to fall asleep. Finally turned on a movie and managed to get a few hours sleep. Let kiddo sleep an extra fifteen minutes to try and make up for getting to bed late. Managed to catch a few winks today while hubby was sleeping and feel much better. Mother-in-law and I will be going up for the cath and mom will be taking kiddo to and from school if necessary. So at least we have our game plan figured out.

Sounds like a positive development, especially after the catheterization. I know it's hard, but you need rest, too.

emmsmommy, listen to your body. Get some rest. Sounds like you have this covered. Tell hubby we're all thinking of him.

No gardening today unless watering the “laundry room babies” counts as gardening. Today was a blood draw for me at the clinic, and shingle shot #1 at the pharmacy. The rest of the day was a bust. I’ve been doing some deep cleaning, chasing dust rabbits, cleaning inside windows, curtains laundered, and cleaning and restoring color on kitchen cupboards. All those fun things were put on hold until tomorrow. I even vacuumed the wallpaper

Still limping around with sciatica, but managed to fill a couple 50 cell trays and sow a second round of tomato and pepper seeds. First round was sowed Dec 13 (Hartsmans yellow gooseberry, Roma VF, currant tomato, and mystery peppers) and most are already transplanted into pots in the greenhouse. This second round is mostly for later season heat tolerant varieties l, boring stuff like Beefsteak and Mortgage Lifter and Jalepenso, mostly just plants to give away or backups for if any of the first planting is lost to frost. Harvested a bunch of lettuce from garden and had bacon lettuce mustard sandwiches for dinner

Catheterization over, one stent and three 100 percent blockages. Open heart surgery is in the future. Currently waiting for doctors to come talk to us and then heading home for the night. If all goes well he will be discharged tomorrow.

Went out to fill the bird feeder and noticed the crocus are all coming up. The flowerbed is under the kitchen window and is usually covered in snow this time of year. Going to eye doctor later, I need a refill on contact lens's. Will walk out to the garden later to see if there is anything of interest out there. Pretty muddy though, will have to wear my rubber boots.

Planted potatoes, Adirondack Blue. Planted them in 20 gallon fabric pots to keep them dry.
Transplanted Black Devil pansies and Vulcan Swiss chard into the front yard garden. Harvesting broccoli and kale and lettuce and oregano and making pasta with Roma tomatoes I turned into marinara and froze last July, hope they are still ok after months in freezer.

raphanus, if your freezer hasn’t had any power supply interruptions, your frozen tomato products will be just fine. I have proof in our freezer.

Finished hand quilting the latest quilt, now for the binding. Tomorrow. Finished a set of 4 placemats. Went for 3 mile walk, sunshine felt good even though it was 29*, little wind. The Princess was dragging about the last 1/4 mile.
Starting sewing scrap pieces together from this quilt, little triangles which were a by product of the triple star blocks. I'm thinking it will become a large grocery tote or travel tote.
Gave the onions and shallots another haircut, seems like they need it every 3-4 days. Made an avocado sandwich for lunch with fresh lettuce and onion tops. Next week I'll be sorting through seeds to see what else I can start now. Parsley for sure, and petunias.

I finished those two SIPs today, after going to Harbor freight to re-stock on a number of items. I cleaned the watering tubes from those old SIPs, that I took apart, then cut the screen to cover the shelves and line the wicking columns. Here's one of them. Finished SIP, with screens cut out for the wicking columns and shelf. by pepperhead212, on Flickr The hydroponics is going crazy! I usually just harvest a couple leaves per plant, as it doesn't take much more as a salad, or something to add to a soup or a curry. The bok choy has to be harvested, as it is is flowering. The arugula bolted early - always a problem for me, no matter what variety I grow. But I cut it totally back, a week or so ago, and it seems to be growing, w/o any flowers. Bok choy, just started to flower, so I'll harvest all of it soon. Epazote on left, getting huge. by pepperhead212, on Flickr Leaf lettuce and mizuna in the hydro, almost covering the cilantro. by pepperhead212, on Flickr Wasabina mustard greens, in the hydro. by pepperhead212, on Flickr
