Got mine planted today. I have 4 of the Rutgers 250 plants.
I also planted 3 Ramapo which are the "other" resurrected Jersey tomatoes.

They are in a rather sorry state waiting to go outside They will perk up! Hey, That's the stove I have in my basement. I have a similar one in the kitchen, but the one in the basement is my favorite. I do my canning on it. 5 burner. Is yours a 5 burner? I thinky so. I fry stuff in the basement. So, guess you know I do most of my cooking in the basement! ahahahah And the garage door leads out of the basement, so it's like I'm almost in the yard! Pluck a weed and run back and flip the chicken...................

I started my Rutger's late. It is about 3" right now. It will be fun to see how it compares with my other starts that are now in gallon pots and are about a foot tall.
Everybody is going into the garden tonight and tomorrow. (chiles, peppers, toms, cantaloupe, basil)

It's the first time I've tried cantaloupe. I'm excited to see how it does.

I'm getting blossoms on the 250: Your plant looks nice and bushy. Mine is a little bit more spindly but I cut off the bottom branches. I am sure it will fill out. Your plants are usually a couple of weeks ahead of mine. You are usually canning tomatoes when I am just starting to pick mine so you will know how the 250's taste before I do.

Losing branches off the tomatos in the 33 mph wind, and they can't spare a leaf around here: Leaves broke off the Brandywine too, It just makes me sick. And my mulch is blowing off the garden, (ground up leaf mulch), and it was a tad wet...............should have stuck better than that...............Well, tomorrow is another day.................
