I grew another semi-determinate tomato, the Celebrity, way back before I started mine from seed, and they were about the only ones in the nurseries around here, plus they were being touted as the best thing in the tomato world then. They produced an incredible number, but then, POOF! nothing for about 5 or 6 weeks! That was too determinate for me, and this is about when I learned what this meant, and never put in another one, unless it was by accident (IOW, I was mis-guided as to what it was).

I grew that once and they put out a couple other tomatoes after the main produce which ripened all at the same time. I was disappointed by this. It only grew to about 3'

Looks to me that they are providing seed to commercial growers. I sent them an e-mail to see if they are also providing small quantities of seed to home gardeners.

They don't sell plants at their store, only asparagus roots, garlic and onion sets, and seed potatoes. Everything else is seeds.

Looks like those of us who are card-carrying members of the great unwashed mass can order a packet. The Jersey tomato - Ramapo, Rutgers, etc. Order form for Rutgers, Ramapo, Moreton, and KC-146. I need more tomato seeds/plants like I need a third head, so I'm trying to resist.

Yeah, and note this on the order form:
NOTE: Because the demand for ‘Rutgers 250’ seeds exceeds supply in 2016, we are making available an additional ‘Rutgers 250’ tomato breeding line with the same attributes. This sister variety, ‘Rutgers 250 Schermerhorn’ is named in honor of the breeder of the original ‘Rutgers’ tomato, Lyman Schermerhorn. It is virtually identical to ‘Rutgers 250’ and there will be more seeds per packet (35) for this variety. When the ‘Rutgers 250’ supply runs out, ‘Rutgers 250 Schermerhorn’ will be provided. We expect to have adequate seed quantities to meet demands in 2017 and beyond.

Which leads one to wonder JUST what VIRTUALLY Identical means.
It must be inferior in some way?
Those seeds were harvested in a bed that wasn't patented yet?
What?
