Nice haul! Kitty satisfied! I will be very interested in what you do with those. Looks like that could be used as bats

I use them like any other winter squash. Roast them, puree them, make them into soups, make them into enchiladas, curries, etc.

Oh my, what a cool pic! Hubby, would not be impressed with animals walking on the countertops...........I'll keep this pic to myself.

When we first got the cats, it drove me nuts. I didn't grow up with cats. But I had to let it go. We aren't home during the day to keep them off of them. And at this house, where the kitchen window faces directly east and the sun is shining in, forget it. It would be impossible. I could spend my weekend mornings at home chasing them off, but 5 days per week, they would be there anyway....I gave up. In the middle of the day, when the sun isn't shining in the kitchen, they move to different windows.
Don't worry. I clean the counters well before I cook. I have to. Too much dirt on the counter from all the garden produce!
That counter is where I do all of my seed starting and soil block making and potting up, too.
Basically I am telling you I clean my entire kitchen at least twice per day every day because I am always making some kind of mess in there. And when it's not me, it's the cats.

I would rather have a peaceful life and just clean my counters before I use them than to always be yelling at cats.
I would have to wipe them down anyway because I know that they are up there looking around as soon as I am not in the room.

We always figure the cats are partying and "dancing on the tables" while we are gone. ;)

I had a cat that was always watching what I was doing, in case he wanted to go check it out once I left the room. They had a utility table in front of the window to use for the sunning thing, and this one would get on top of the bookcase (tall) that I used as a pantry, and watch from there. when I was done (I'd sneak and watch) he'd walk all around the counters (on the floor) and sniff UP, to see if I'd left anything worth investigating.

restless you and I use the same dish washing liquid. I find that it's the best detergent on the market.

I just started using Seventh Generation this year. A grocery store called MOM's Organic Market opened up in the neighborhood of where I work. I do all of my shopping there, now, that I can't do at the farmers market. They don't carry mass market products there. I do like it very much. It seems to work well. I admit that I didn't do any research to see if it is any better for the environment than Palmolive or Ajax. I was just happy to find that it works very well and isn't more expensive than the mass market brands.

Don't ya hate to watch the cat come out of the litter box, and flicking his paws and flying up on the counter? hahahaha Then they have to shampoo their butt..............on the counter, and all 4 legs.......... Nope, don't have cats, but my mother does. We were German shepherd lovers.............they are passed now. I'm too old to go through it all anymore..............Well, hubby and I are not ready yet............I'll put it that way. They say cats are soooo clean................but dang, where they decide to shampoo themselves.............hahhahaha You know that 5 second rule you grew up with? That only applies to the floor. It should not have to apply to the countertops. hahahhaha Yep, I'm laughing........... What do you guys think? Just chatting. I'm a goofball!
